Homecoming Etiquette and Guidelines
Guidelines for Dogs
Guidelines for Children
We can have a great Homecoming and fun will be had by all if we each do our share!
- Please clean up after your dog--this includes the entire grounds.
(Please note: we have given a "grass damage deposit") - Pick up poop!! No ruts! No holes!
- Dogs are to be on a leash at all times
- Dogs are not to be left unattended at any time!
- Owners are to remain in close proximity to their dogs when dogs are crated or in x-pens.
- If you must be away and out of sight, be sure someone else is aware of the situation and can supervise your dogs for you.
- Do not leave leashes on your dogs in x-pens or crates.
- If your dog has a sociability problem--avoid the most populated areas!
- If everyone is responsible we can have a great time with no incidents.
Guidelines for Children
- Children should be supervised at all times. This is not a playground. Many dogs are not exposed to children on a regular basis! Please give them the courtesy they deserve.
- Children are not to be unsupervised for any reason!
- As we have asked to have your dog(s) supervised, we ask that your children be supervised as well.
- All garbage and "doggie do" must be bagged and placed in the dumpster or in receptacles provided.
- Should you take chairs and/or tables from the lodge or tent area for your personal camp area you will be required to pay a $10.00 per item fine and be asked to immediately return the items to the place of origin. We have had tables and chairs taken in the past and the club (actually Tina, personally) has had to pay for the missing items.
- Please do not enter the lodge/area during seminars you are not signed up for!
- Please do not attempt to talk with the judges or stewards directly during the show. Your questions should be presented prior to or after the official activities have ended.
- The show ring is there for scheduled events only! It is neither a playground for children nor a practice arena.
- We will try to stay on schedule as much as possible. Meetings and shows will not be delayed due to folks leaving the Homecoming site. If you choose to leave to eat, please be back on time or you may miss something very important!
